We provide information, education and support for people with MS and their families, encouraging a proactive approach to managing this disease.
Our area extends from Wellsford, coast to coast, through to Cape Reinga.
The services we provide include:
- Home visits
- Support and information to you and your family about your condition or in your role as caregiver
- Educates you, your family and other allied health professionals about MS and related disorders
- Advocates for you with other support agencies and health professionals
- Informs you on services available in the community
- Provides educational material, also books covering all aspects of Multiple Sclerosis which are available from the Office
- Hold Support Groups for those with MS
- As the Office Administrator is available 14 hours a week, an answer phone is in place to take calls.

Belinda Gunson – MS Northland Field Worker
Hello, my name is Belinda Gunson and I am the Field Worker for MS Northland. I did my Registered Nurse training at Whangarei Hospital in 1980 and worked at the hospital off and on until 2001. I then worked as a Coordinator for a Home Support provider in Whangarei for many years. I also have a Natural Medicine degree and am interested in research that assists in healthy lifestyles.
My role as Field Worker is primarily to provide support and information for people with MS and their families, via home visits, phone calls etc. MS can bring about many changes and often support and information is needed for people with MS in making important adjustments in their lives.
