Blind Low Vision NZ provides free, personalised blind and low vision support in Northland. Its vision rehabilitation services empower New Zealanders who are blind, deafblind or have low vision to live the life they choose.
Blindness and low vision can affect anyone at any stage of life. Blind Low Vision NZ supports people whose limited or reduced vision makes everyday activities difficult, even when using the best available glasses or contact lenses.
Many people supported by Blind Low Vision NZ have an eye condition such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma or cataracts. However, everyone experiences sight loss differently. The team works closely with each person to find practical solutions suited to their individual needs, circumstances and goals.
