Arthritis awareness and advocacy
Arthritis New Zealand raises awareness of the prevalence and impact of arthritis. Its work helps challenge the misconception that arthritis only affects older people—it can affect people at any age.

Arthritis support in Whangārei
An active arthritis support group meets in Whangārei, providing opportunities to connect with others who understand life with arthritis.
Water-based exercise classes are also run independently at the Whangārei Aquatic Centre. These classes may provide a gentle and supportive exercise option for some people living with joint pain or arthritis.
