Need a lift? Have you heard about Total Mobility?
Total Mobility is a nation-wide scheme aimed at assisting people with impairments to become more mobile and active in the community.
The scheme offers eligible clients a 50% discount on taxi fares for transport in the Whāngārei urban area. A book of yellow vouchers is issued to each client, and one voucher is redeemed at the completion of each trip. The client must pay the remaining 50% at the time of travel.
The scheme is administered by the Northland Regional Council and funded by both the Whāngārei District Council (60%) and NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) (40%).
