Boccia New Zealand, formed in 1999, is the national governing body for the sport of Boccia. Not only is Boccia New Zealand responsible for developing and implementing a national strategic direction for the sport of Boccia, Boccia New Zealand also offers support to local clubs in the fundamental areas of grassroots participation, community engagement, athlete development and high performance.
Boccia New Zealand links with key organisations (Paralympic New Zealand, regional Parafeds and the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation) to promote and support the sport of Boccia amongst all people with a physical disability throughout New Zealand.
