Each year Tiaho Trust hosts the Ruakaka Surf Day giving youth and adults with disabilities an opportunity to “Catch a Wave” in a safe environment with trained professionals. This will be our 11th anniversary of this event. A Beach Accessible Chair has recently been purchased thanks to the Lottery Commission, which is on site for anyone to use at the Ruakaka Life-saving Club. If you want to use this beach chair at another time other than this event, please give a koha to the Surf Life-saving club. If you would like to participate in this event, you need to register, this is a popular event and it is first in basis.
