Palliative Care workshop

The Motor Neurone Disease Association is holding a series of workshops for professionals and lay people with an interest in Palliative Care and Motor Neurone Disease. 

The “Palliative Care workshop for Patients with Motor Neurone Disease – what can we offer?” will be presented by Dr David Oliver and one of these workshops is being held in Whangarei.

Dr David Oliver is Medical Director and Consultant Physician in Palliative Medicine at the Wisdom Hospice in Rochester, Kent, UK and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Palliative Medicine at the Kent Institute of Medicine & Health Sciences at the University of Kent at Canterbury. 

He is an acknowledged expert on Motor Neurone Disease with over twenty years close involvement in the care of people with MND.

Dr David Oliver will speak at the following venues

  • Hamilton
    Tuesday 17 June Bader Street, Methodist Church
    From 10 -11am will be aimed at Health Professionals.
  • Whangarei
    Wednesday 18th June, St.Johns Building, Western Hills Drive
    Ffrom 10.30 to 12 noon. This session will be aimed at all with an interest in MIND.
  • Auckland
    Friday 20 June, Auditorium Level 5, Auckland Hospital
    From 10 -12 noon. This session will be for Health Professionals. A further session for lay people will be advised shortly.
