‘Getting Out There’ – The Empowerment Starts Here

‘Getting Out There’ – A guide to ‘Getting Out There’ for people with disabilities, older people and their families/whanau.

The Empowerment Starts Here, with you – read this year’s awesome stories from people who share their experiences.  They will not only inspire and encourage you to ‘Get Out There’ but you will be empowered by the knowledge and information you can gain when you read this awesome publication.  There is a lot available to you in Northland that it is worth ‘Getting Out There’ for including support groups, exercise groups or you may like to try out a hydrotherapy class.

We would like to thank the team at the Northern Advocate again, who were key to pulling this whole resource together once again.

Thank you to the organisations within the Northland DIAS Collective and those members affiliated with them who came forward and shared their stories.  A big thank you to all the businesses and organisations who supported this year’s edition – many of whom have supported all three annual ‘Getting Out There’ publications, it could not have been done without you.
