GETTING OUT THERE EXPO NOW ON 25 MARCH 2022 – DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS
Tiaho Trust hosts the biannual “Getting Out There” – EXPO at Forum North. This is a Disability and Seniors event that provides information and resources; on Community groups, Health and Disability services and Equipment Services each year with approximately 50 stalls and over 2500 people attend. This will be a one day event on Friday 25 March 2022, at Forum North, Rust Avenue, Whangarei.
Due to having to postponed this event due to lockdown we are now combining this event with the International Day of People with Disabilities. There will be extra things for the youth to do, including having a go on the Bungy Trampoline.
.
Each EXPO we have, has a different theme. This year our theme is “Promoting Abilities”, with the focus being on the value of employing people with disabilities. We are working in collaboration with our local Workbridge team to engage with Employers in Whangarei who are either currently employing people with impairments or open to employing people with impairments in the future. Workbridge will be nominating three businesses for Awards this year and they will be announced at the EXPO.
There will be approximately 30 Community Stalls showcasing what they do, how they can help you or maybe you might like to join their group and help out and meet more people. Live entertainment from a Cultural Youth Disability Group and other entertainers.
If you would like to be part of this event or want to know more please feel free to give us a call.
