Getting Out There

‘Getting Out There’ – A guide to ‘Getting out There’ for people with disabilities, older people, their families and carers.

What a success!  This great resource came out last Tuesday in the Northern Advocate.  If you didn’t get your hands on one then follow the link below.

A wonderful guide to services in Northland if you have a disability or impairment including stories that will inspire and encourage you to ‘Get out There’!  There is so much out there you can get involved in from support groups to exercise and hydrotherapy classes or take an accessible road trip around Northland.

A big thank you to the team at the Northern Advocate who wrote the wonderful stories and pulled all this great information together into a publication that we can be proud of.

Thanks to the organisations of the Northland DIAS Collective and their members some of whom agreed to be interviewed so they could share their inspirational stories.  The inclusion of stories and information from other health and disability providers in Northland added great value for readers who may not be aware of their services.  Many thanks also to all the organisations and businesses who supported the publication, It could not have been published without you!

If you would like to be included in this publication next year either as a provider or advertiser please contact info@tiaho.org.nz;we would love to hear from you!
