Surfing - train the helper day.

Disabled Surfing New Zealand’s is holding it’s first ‘Train the helper’ Day on Saturday 14th February from 10am to 2.30 at Omanu Beach, Mt Maunganui. 

Surfers - Here is your chance to give something back.

Come to our very first Train the Helper Day and learn how you can help disabled surfing in New Zealand.

This course is open to surfers and non surfers alike who have an interest in volunteering one day at least once a year, to help disabled people have a safe surfing experience.  Prior to the first event in March you will receive free training by Disabled Surfing Association instructors who have over 20 years experience.

This free training day is for volunteers who wish to participate as helpers for the ‘Hands on Day’ which will be held at Omanu Beach, Mt Maunganui on Saturday 21st March 2009.
