Sex, Intimacy and Spinal Cord Injury workshop

TASC and the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit invite you to an informative evening to discuss topics surrounding sex, intimacy and spinal cord injury.
Two workshops are being run, one for spinal cord injury clients and their partners and the other is aimed at caregivers, nurses, counsellors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, case managers and others.

Evening Workshops for Spinal Cord Injury Clients & Partners
The workshop includes a presentation, sharing of experiences from people who have a spinal cord injury and/or their partners plus an opportunity to ask questions and gather resources. The evening is open to both couples and singles.

Time : 6.30 – 9.00 pm
Cost : No charge
Workshops for Health Professionals/Caregivers - Would you like to feel confident to address issues of sex and intimacy?
The aim of this workshop is to increase your knowledge and skills about sex, intimacy and spinal cord injury so you are comfortable and competent to address this in a manner that is appropriate for your specific profession/role.
The workshop will also focus on “where to go for help” when unsure of what to do.
Time : 2.15 – 5.00 pm
Cost : $50.00 per person
Target Audience :
Caregivers, nurses, counsellors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, case managers and others.
