Heya Everyone!

Again I have been slack! I have moved back to Hamilton for another year and have already moved once! I am now in a flat EXTREEEMELY close to University, I have my own bathroom, a larger bedroom, a very nice dog and did I mention my own bathroom? I feel as though I pretty much live alone (when I am even in Hamilton) but it is a lot better then what I thought it was going to be. I find that being around people all day at Uni, it is a great chance to study without the distractions!

I have also picked up another degree! I am still doing my Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science and Screen and Media, but I have now added a Bachelor in Communications majoring in Public Relations. It does mean another year at University and a whole lot more papers! But hey there isn’t a lot else to do in Hamilton raspberry. The papers that I am doing this semester are so far enjoyable! I am taking everything from Marketing, to Linguistics, to World Media. And so far enjoying the grades too!

I am still tutoring dance with an amazing bunch of young people! (Even if we do have to pull out Justin Bieber every now and again!)
I have never been a keen advocator for Hamilton as a city. However so far I have found it incredibly accessible. One reason of this is the busses! They are amazing! Seriously amazing! They are everywhere and never have to wait that long for them! (Most) bus drivers are keen to help whenever and wherever they can. I have to admit that is one thing that Hamilton has got right!

Anyway I have to head off now, packing for a night away in Auckland. I have made the decision to leave all study behind!! I am unsure of how it will go, but we will see!

I promise I will try and write more often this year (emphasis on the try.)

Before I go though, I really want to encourage EVERYONE, in particular youth to attend the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Hui. I am constantly surprised with how many people with disabilities are unaware of their rights…. I wish I was in Whangarei on the 20th!

Better get going, the bag isn’t going to pack itself!
Best,
Loren
