Invitation to the Northland Brain Train
Northlanders will have the chance to discover the wonders of the human brain and learn about the latest neuroscience research as the Northland Brain Train makes its way across the region from March 15.
First stop is Kaitaia on Monday March 15, followed by Kaikohe on March 16 and Whangarei on Wednesday March 17.
The events include lectures by leading neuroscientists on the latest brain research, seminars on brain health and medical care from community support groups, and information displays with advice on support and services.
The Northland Brain Train is a partnership between the Tiaho Trust and the Neurological Foundation as part of International brain Awareness Week.
Each year, this international effort aims to raise public awareness about the critical research that is revealing the brain’s deepest mysteries and helping to find the cures for neurological disorders.

The Brain Train day in Kaitaia was excellent, and we very much hope it will become an annual event! Thanks to all who worked to make it happen.
