Inter-Agency Discussion ForumPublished 21 August 2012, Posted in Northland
An Inter-Agency Discussion Forum for Children and Youth with Special Needs is being held in the conference room, Community Health, Dargaville Hospital on Tuesday 28th August from 10am to 11.30am.
The focus of this meeting is to provide a networking forum for agencies and professionals who work amongst Kaipara children & youth with disabilities with the suggested addition of ” Providing a forum where the parent/caregiver/s of these children and youth are able to bring forward their concerns”; roles and responsibilities, gaps and overlaps will be identified, with collaboration and discussion on (the means of) enhancing support for clients and their families.
There have been changes that affect clients and it is important to have a meeting where we can all hear the changes that are made for the families we are working with and also hear their input.
If you are a parent of a child with a disability or work within an agency that works with children and youth with a disability it would be great to see you.
