Vanassa McGoldrick is well known in the disability sector in Northland. 

She has helped create a more accessible Whangarei by working with council on issues affecting the disability community including access issues at the Whangarei Aquatic Centre and establishing the ‘Disability Working Parking Permit’.

Vanassa is a Legal Executive working at Henderson Reeves Connell Rishworth Lawyers and is involved in a number of groups working at a local and national level including Chairperson of the Whangarei Riding Therapy Centre, member of the Disability Sector Reference Group, Trustee of the Whangarei Accessible Housing Trust, and member of United 4 Action.  She is also the Northland and Auckland representative for CCS Disability Action on their National Board.

Attitude TV recently interviewed Vanassa about her work in Northland advocating for the right of disabled people to participate in their communities as able bodied people do.
