David and Prince step out

Published 15 October 2008, Posted in National David and Prince step out

David Senior stepped out with his guide dog Prince, Mark Shanks and Ricky Robson in the 4km course in the Kaitaia run/walk event held last Sunday.

It’s really good to see people with disabilities being involved in the wider community and being seen out there supporting local initives.

David says that participating in mainstream community events promotes the inclusion of disabled people in our community and raises awareness of the diversity in our community and the value disabled people add.

David and Prince enjoyed the 4km run/walk event so much that they are looking to participate in the 12km event next year.

What a fantastic effort by the Tiaho Terrors. I am proud of my sister Gail Stacey for going the distance and wearing the grass out with her walking.
