Children in wheelchairs can fly high!

A ‘Liberty Swing’ designed to allow children who use wheelchairs to experience the thrill of ‘flying through the air’ as other children do when they play on swings is available at the Town Basin playground.

With the weather improving and summer not far away, if your child uses a wheelchair and you are in Whangarei, check out the Liberty Swing at the Town Basin playground, Whangarei.

You can get a free key from CCS Disability Action at 291 Kamo Rd, Kamo, ph 09 437 1899 or alternatively you can borrow one that is kept at the Town Basin Information Centre i-site in the Claphams Clocks Museum, Town Basin, ph 09 438 1079, they are open 9 - 5, 7 days per week, a $10 refundable deposit is required. The keys fit all 14 Variety Liberty Swings in New Zealand.
