Alzheimers Northland say thanks

Published 18 August 2008, Posted in Northland Alzheimers Northland say thanks

We were very busy at the Alzheimers Society during the week of 21-26 July – and so were many of our friends and supporters!

We are truly grateful for all the support received both in donations, time, energy and enthusiasm.

During the week we did a variety of things – from our “Blue Bonnet Collection” outside Progressive Enterprises stores, to Cuppas for a Cause held all over Northland, to Extra.Odrinary Coffees at cafes and restaurants, to individual donations and sponsorship.

As a result of all this activity we raised around $10,000!

What a great achievement… made possible only by the wonderful support of our community.

We will use the money raised to maintain and develop our services to walk beside all those affected by dementia.

Our special thanks to our major sponsors, Calders Design and Print, More FM, Northern Advocate and Sutherland Security for their generous sponsorship of our week.

What a fantastic effort by the Tiaho Terrors. I am proud of my sister Gail Stacey for going the distance and wearing the grass out with her walking.
