Published January 30th 2008, Posted in NorthlandDisabled Snowsports New Zealand and SNOWPLANET invite you to attend the Official Opening of the new Snowplanet Adaptive Snowsports Programme on Saturday, 2 February at SNOWPLANET, 91 Small Rd Silverdale.
This is a great opportunity to view firsthand the accessibility and potential benefits the Snowplanet Adaptive Snowsport Programme has to offer people with disabilities. Providing support for people with physical, sensory and cognitive impairments. This programme ensures there is no limit to enjoying the freedom of skiing and boarding with your family and friends.
Specialist adaptive equipment is available from our rental department with a team of on-snow volunteers trained to assist you. Our Instructors can teach you to ski or board. Disabled parking is available.
We are excited to bring you this programme with the support of Disabled Snowsports NZ and funders. Come and have a go…
Please gather outside SNOWPLANET at 11:30am. The programme starts with an Opening Ceremony, followed by aTour of the Facility, a look at Equipment and Programme Offerings. Refreshments will be available and you can watch the On-Snow Demonstrations. (which can be viewed from the café window)
