Parafed Community Sports Advisor for Northland

Published 16 January 2012, Posted in Northland Parafed Community Sports Advisor for Northland

Kia ora, my name is Leesa Andrewes and I am the new Parafed Community Sports Advisor for Northland.  I have a Sport and Recreation degree from AUT and have worked in Sports Administration and Coaching over the past seven years.

Parafed Northland supports Paralympics NZ at a regional level.  My position is supported by and based at Sport Northland Whangarei and Dargaville.

The Primary Purpose of my position is “To facilitate the development of Parafed Northland to be an organisation that caters for and supports people with physical and visual disabilities to be active in Sport and Recreation”.

This is the first time Northland has had a Parafed Community Sports Advisor and I’m looking forward to not only getting sport and recreation opportunities happening in Northland but also working with people in our community to see them involved in these activities for enjoyment, competition and good health.

Please contact me with any ideas or queries, or if you have, or know of anyone with a physical or visual Impairment who may like to get involved.  .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), Cell: 027 705 9520, DDI: 09 437 9632
