Carter’s Paihia Run/Walk

Published 26 April 2011, Posted in National Carter’s Paihia Run/Walk

Halberg Trust and Westpac are working in partnership to support disabled people to participate in active sport and leisure. Westpac will pay the entry fee for participants who have a disability and their caregiver to enter the Carter’s Paihia Run/Walk on 29th May 2011.

The Bay of Island provides a stunning back drop for this really fun event. You have the option of either a 6km walk or an 8km run. There is no cost to participants with disabilities who pre-register. Westpac covers the entry fee for you and your support person if you need one.

Westpac staff volunteers will be on hand to assist people with disabilities on the 6km walk on a 1:1 basis.  Participants with disabilities can run, walk or take part with wheelchairs. Participants will need their own transport to the event.

Entry Details:
To enter/register you (and your support person) need to complete the attached Halberg Trust & Westpac Participant Registration Form for this event and return it to Sport Northland by 20 May 2011.

Places are limited. You must pre-register by 20 May to receive free entry, volunteer assistance and Westpac tent hospitality.  When registering, please advise of the participants shirt size so we can order accordingly. Sizes are noted on the registration form.
