Housing Trust’s receives National Awards
Published September 21st 2007, Posted in NationalThe Whangarei Accessible Housing Trust is thrilled at receiving recognition for its work at the annual National Local Authority Community Development Conference held in Hamilton this week. The Trust not only won the category in which it had entered, Social Equity, but was also acknowledged as the supreme winner at an awards dinner last night.

Brain Injury Awareness Week

The statistics tell us that ninety New Zealanders a day sustain a brain injury of some sort, the majority are of a traumatic nature with others being from illness or disease.

WINZ red tape wrangle
Published March 13th 2007, Posted in National / 1 CommentTiaho Trust has received numerous complaints from people who have life long disabilities,who anually have to get a medical certificates and complete a form from Work & Income stating that they still have a disability/s . To quote one individual, “I can handle being disabled all my life, but it is a real poke in the eye having to go to a doctor every year so they can tell me ““Gee, you know what, your still disabled”“.

First trilingual TV show
