Access Whangarei Map
Tiaho Trust worked alongside the Whangarei District Council and CCS Disability Action Northland to develop a map identifying accessible public amenities, parking, restaurants, hotels and bars in Whangarei.

Halberg Trust
The Halberg Trust aims to support all children with a disability if they want to be involved in active leisure or recreation of their choice, alongside their peers in an inclusive environment.

Northland Parents of Deaf Children Inc.
Northland Parents of Deaf Children Inc. is a voluntary organisation formed in 1994 by parents of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children.
As parents we aim to support one another to provide our children with opportunities that will enable them to become the best that they can be.

Tiaho Trust Accessible Van
Tiaho Trust has a fully accessible vans based in Whangarei which community and disability organisations can borrow to transport disabled people to events.
If you are disabled and need transport to an event but don’t have an organisation to support you please contact us and we may be able to assist you.

Nationwide Health & Disabilities Advocacy Services
Mary-Claire Taffs and Christine Findlay are Health & Disability Advocate based in Whangarei covering from Te Hana to the Bay of Islands.
They provide independent advocacy support and assistance to people who have concerns about a health or disability service they or their family have used.
