The creation and blessing of the Tiaho Trust office within the Tai Tokerau Trust building in Hunt St Whangarei and the blessing of its second office in Kaikohe, both during July 2006 has closed a chapter with Tai Tokerau DEAS Trust and opened the door with Tiaho Trust to go forward in the latter part of 2006 and leap forward in the new year 2007.

My name is Te Raumoa Balneavis Kawiti JP of Ngati – Hine decent. I am honoured to be nominated by Tiaho Trust as their kaumatua cultural advisor to whom I intend to give my utmost respect and support. I must acknowledge the partnership of DPA Northland and the DEAS Trust, this partnership will continue with Tiaho Trust and DPA Northland.

In closing I wish thank the teams at Tiaho and DPA for their work in the disabled community.
