Cecelia O’Dell

Ko Te Rarawa Te Aupouri te Iwi. Ko Panguru te kainga. Over the years her involvement in the disabled community has mainly been through her membership with DPA, CCS and TASC in Auckland and her role as a mediator for the Human Rights Commission over the past 14 years. In 2002 she was a trustee on the Ripple Trust in Auckland and following her move to Kerikeri in 1997 she joined the steering committee which subsequently led to the formation of Tai Tokerau Disability Empowerment and Advocacy Services (TTDEAS) in 2003. In late 2006 TTDEAS changed its name to TIAHO trust. Cecelia continues to work for the Human Rights Commission from home in Kerikeri.
