Field Officer

I am the Field Officer for Northland Multiple Sclerosis Society covering the area from Wellsford right up to the Far North.  I work four days a week.

I am a local and have lived here all my life.  I come from a nursing background and having worked for MS in a relieving capacity in 2002 am really delighted to be working for them again.

My role includes visiting patients with MS and their families in their homes or wherever they feel comfortable meeting me.  I am also available to visit organisations/employers that require information on MS.

I run support groups in Whangarei, Mid North and I am looking to set one up in the Far North.  These groups are for patients with MS, their family or carers to discuss any issues or problems that they may have; they are also a great way to catch up with other people on a social basis.  These groups are run on a Saturday to enable people working during the week to attend.

We accept referrals from GP’s, specialists, the hospital and people can self refer.

Office Co-ordinator

I started working with the Northland Multiple Sclerosis Society in May 2008.

I have had many years experience in the Health industry in a “hands on” and Management capacity and therefore empathise with those who have been affected by MS.

My role with Northland Multiple Sclerosis Society includes office administration, fundraising, supporting the Field Officer and clients in any way I possibly can.

My office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 9am - 2.30pm.  Please feel to call anytime and leave a message if we are not in.
